Bana's Coffee, located along South Rd in Poblacion, Sagada, serves as a comfortable and inviting stop for those wanting a solid cup of local coffee amid mountain views. This cafe leans into a laid-back, cozy atmosphere that suits both visitors winding down after hiking around town and locals looking for a quiet spot to catch up on some work.

The coffee here is more than just a routine caffeine fix. They offer a range of choices that appeal to coffee enthusiasts—from traditional Philippine coffee to specialty Civet Coffee and rich, signature blends. Visitors who appreciate smooth, freshly brewed coffee will find that Bana’s delivers a distinct and robust flavor. For those who prefer plant-based options, oat milk is available, which is a thoughtful touch not often found in mountain towns.

The menu carries a mix of breakfast and snack items that complement the coffee well. Omelettes are popular for their hearty servings, especially the local etag variety, making them a good choice for a filling meal without overspending. Sweet tooths can also try offerings like pancakes, waffles, and affogato, while savory choices include bangus and longanisa, giving a nod to regional flavors. Portions tend to be generous, so sharing is an option, particularly if you're sampling different dishes.

The cafe’s layout accommodates a relaxed, work-friendly environment with ample seating that benefits from natural light and open views of the surrounding mountains. This makes it an appealing spot for remote workers or anyone wanting a peaceful backdrop to their laptop session, especially since internet reception here is noted to be among the best in Sagada. Mornings and early afternoons are often ideal for visiting—before the evening chill sets in—allowing patrons to enjoy the mountain air while sipping their drinks.

Patrons appreciate the attentive and welcoming staff, who move efficiently even during busier hours, adding to the easygoing ambience without feeling rushed. The atmosphere attracts a range of visitors: from coffee lovers keen on sampling local brews, groups of friends lingering over breakfast plates, to travelers in need of a restful pause. It’s a place where the freshness of ingredients and the essence of the mountain setting come together naturally, rather than being overly styled.

Bana’s Coffee is a must-visit in Sagada! The coffee is rich, smooth, and freshly brewed, you can really taste the difference. The place has a cozy, laid back vibe, perfect for relaxing after exploring the town. Definitely one of the best spots to enjoy a good cup of coffee with mountain views.

Great coffee - closest thing to the good lattés in Manila. (Yes, they have oat milk!!!) Meals are good too, although on the pricey side, so order their omelettes if you want to get more bang for your buck. If you need to work with your laptop for whatever reason, do it at Bana’s: their internet, in my experience during a recent ten-day stay there, is the fastest in Sagada.

3rd time here. Bana's breakfast is such a hearty one. The red rice has deep flavor, saltiness of the sausage is just right, mango is huge, fresh and sweet, and my most fave of all, the vegetable salad every bite, you can taste the absolute freshness, as if my whole being and not just my guts is being cleansed Pastries we ordered are also decently good. As for the drinks, you can taste the fruity notes in their black coffee. Alamid one has stronger, bolder taste than black. Had to mellow it down through 2 teaspoons of brown sugar.

Strawberry yoghurt tastes unique. A bit mild compared to yoghurt’s around Sagada (with a hint of sourness). The strawberries were not yet fully ripe, I had to add sugar just so I could finish it. Etag omelette is good for 2 persons. It has a big serving na, pero habang tumatagal parang nakakaumay na for us. Area is good for those who are looking for a workspace area. The place is quiet and has an overlooking view of the mountains.

This place is highly recommended by the locals. This was the second coffee shop we visited on our first 3-hour visit here in Sagada. The place compliments on the coffee they served, very cozy and not congested. Every corner of their store really tells how enthusiastic they are about serving coffee since then. We also had a session with the local farmers here in Sagada, the name of Bana's coffee shop is highly saturated in local coffee culture in Sagada. As per the locals, they pioneered the coffee scene in this province. They King and Queen the caffeinated bloods of the Kankanai Igorots, a tribe of the local Sagada.
